Twelve Notorious Female Teen Killers

The field of murder tends to be male-dominated. However, there have been a number of female killers over the years who could raise the hair on the back of your neck. Even fewer of these are teenagers—but there are a few.

In order to qualify (for lack of a better word) for this list, the female teen killer must have been under 20 years old when the murder (or murders) occurred. Let's learn more about these notorious female teen murderers.

Cindy Collier and Shirley Wolf

Cindy Collier and Shirley Wolf

1. Cindy Collier

2. Shirley Wolf

Cindy Collier was 14 years old and her friend Shirley Wolf was 15 when the two decided that they wanted to steal a car and hit the town. The two teenagers walked over to a nearby condo building and began knocking on doors. When an elderly woman answered and invited the two inside, the pair immediately attacked, stabbing the woman several times.

In her diary that night, Shirley Wolf wrote, "Cindy and I ran away and killed an old lady. It was fun." Due to their ages at the time, both of the girls were sentenced to juvenile detention.

Where are they today?

Cindy Collier was released in 1992 and Shirley Wolf in 1995.

3. Sarah Kolb

Sarah Kolb was 16 years old when she helped murder Adrianne Reynolds. Apparently, Adrianne was new to the school and made the mistake of flirting with Sarah's boyfriend, Cory Gregory. The young couple invited Adrianne out for lunch and, once she was in the car, the attack began. Cory held Adrianne down while Sarah choked her with a belt.

After the teenage victim died, Sarah and Cory tried to burn her body. That did not work, so they dismembered the body with a chainsaw. Adrianne Reynolds' remains were placed in a plastic bag and dropped off in a remote location.

Where are they today?

Sarah Kolb and her boyfriend Cory Gregory were arrested, convicted, and sentenced to life in prison.

Monique Maestas

Monique Maestas

4. Monique Maestas

Monique Maestas was 16 years old when she helped her brother Beau Maestas murder a three-year-old girl and severely injure a ten-year-old girl. Apparently, Monique and Beau were not happy about the quality of drugs that the children's mother sold them.

The pair searched Las Vegas looking for the drug dealer and, when they couldn't find her, they went to her residence where the two young children were the only ones home. The three-year-old girl was stabbed to death and the ten-year-old had her spine severed but would survive the brutal attack. Monique Maestas would be sentenced to 47 years to life, and her brother Beau Maestas was sentenced to death.

Where is she today?

Maestas is still serving two life prison terms. After 47 years, she'll be eligible for parole.

5. Jasmine Richardson

Jasmine Richardson was just 12 years old when she participated in the murder of her entire family. At the time, Jasmine was allegedly dating Jeremy Steinke, and her family was not happy about her dating a 23-year-old for obvious reasons. The pair were worried that her family was going to go to the police and report Steinke for statutory rape, so they planned the murders of her father, mother, and brother.

On the night of the murder, Jasmine let Jeremy into the home and he fatally stabbed her mother and father in the basement of the home before going upstairs and stabbing the younger brother. When the bodies were discovered, they thought Jasmine had been kidnapped, but they would soon learn the horrible truth.

Jasmine was convicted of all three murders and sentenced to 10 years, which was the maximum sentence for a juvenile at the time. Jeremy Steinke, who would later change his name to Jackson May, would be sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole for 25 years, which was the longest prison sentence in Canada at the time.

Where is she today?

Richardson's 10-year sentence was finished on May 6, 2016.

Rachel Shoaf and Shelia Eddy

6. Rachel Shoaf

7. Shelia Eddy

At one time, Rachel Shoaf, Shelia Eddy, and Skylar Neese were the best of friends, but something changed. One theory is that Skylar saw Rachel and Shelia engaged in sexual activity and they were worried that she would tell others at their school in West Virginia.

Rachel and Shelia convinced Skylar to sneak out of her home and go for a drive with them so they could get high. Once the trio crossed state lines into Pennsylvania, Rachel and Shelia attacked Skylar, stabbing the young girl several times and causing her death. The murder went unsolved for quite some time until Rachel finally told police about the murder and lead them to the body.

Amber Wright

Amber Wright

8. Amber Wright

Amber Wright was 15 years old when she took part in her ex-boyfriend Seath Jackson's murder. According to court documents, Wright's new boyfriend Michael Bargo and her ex Jackson were feuding when the murderous plan was hatched.

Amber lured Jackson over to a home where he was attacked by a group of people. Jackson was beaten and shot. His body was dismembered and burned in a backyard fire pit.

In the end, Michael Bargo was sentenced to death and remains on Florida death row.

Where is she now?

Amber Wright was convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison. Upon resentencing, Wright again was sentenced to life in prison.

Brenda Spencer

Brenda Spencer

9. Brenda Spencer

Brenda Spencer was 16 years old when she murdered two adults and injured eight children and one police officer.

Brenda is an oddity, as most school shooters are male, and at the time, school shootings were rare. According to court documents, after Brenda's father gave her a gun for a birthday present, she decided to shoot up the school across the street from where she lived. When reporters asked Brenda why, she replied, "I don't like Mondays."

Where is she today?

Spencer was sentenced to 25 years to life. Some 40 years after the shooting, she is still being held in a California prison.

10. Tylar Witt

Tylar Witt was just 14 years old when she planned her mother's murder. According to court documents, Tylar's mother had become upset when she learned that her daughter was sexually active with her much-older boyfriend. Her mother was going to go to the police and have the boyfriend charged with statutory rape, but before she could do that, she was murdered.

The older boyfriend, Steven Colver, stabbed the mother to death in her bedroom. It did not take long for the pair to be arrested, and Tylar testified against Colver in exchange for a lighter prison sentence.

Where is she today?

Tylar Witt was sentenced to 15 years to life in prison, whereas Colver received a sentence of life without parole.

Courtney Schulhoff

Courtney Schulhoff

11. Courtney Schulhoff

Courtney Schulhoff was 15 years old when she murdered her father. According to court documents, Courtney was dating an older man who was a convicted felon and her father was not pleased. When her father attempted to talk her out of dating Michael Lawrence Morin Jr., that obviously did not work, as Morin went into the home and beat her father to death with a baseball bat.

Courtney and Michael would soon be arrested and charged in the murder. At first, Courtney said that Michael was responsible for the entire crime, but after she was convicted, she told the judge that she alone was responsible. That did not make much difference, as both would be sentenced to life in prison.

Where is she today?

Upon resentencing, Courtney Schulhoff had her prison sentence reduced to 40 years.

Lorraine Thorpe

Lorraine Thorpe

12. Lorraine Thorpe

Lorraine Thorpe was just 15 years old when she participated in two murders.

According to court documents, Lorraine Thorpe and Paul Clarke tortured and murdered their first victim. When Lorraine's father learned about the murder, he threatened to turn them into the police, and the murderous duo responded by beating him to death.

When the two were arrested, Lorraine bragged about killing the first victim and her father. The two would both be convicted of the two murders.

Where is she today?

Lorraine Thorpe was sentenced to life in prison and must serve at least 14 years; Paul Clarke was sentenced to life and must serve 27 years in prison.
